The Gift of Change
You are called to be a change agent as a spiritual world leader.
Change agents know that everything has a price. You must choose between what you are comfortable with and what you want. With COVID-19, humanity is collectively allowed to be global change agents. Creativity is our secret weapon for thriving in the face of change. It can inoculate us against the contagion of fear. Believe it or not, creativity is made for times like these!
Love is the creative force of the world.
Carl Jung told us, “The paradox is one of the most valuable spiritual possessions…only the paradox comes anywhere near to comprehending the fullness of life.” Change is one of life’s paradoxes; the only way you can continuously grow is if you change, and the only way you can change is if you learn. The only way you can learn is if your heart is open. When your heart is open, God can come in and inspire you—grace can flow.
When grace flows, creativity is born; it is the way to co-create with God.
When we want something, the universe conspires to give it to us through a creative solution or an idea. However you are inspired, love makes it easier to know what to do at crucial moments. Too often, people don’t realize they are being supported with creative inspiration; therefore, love is not recognized, and it’s a missed opportunity to extend gratitude to God.
Leo Tolstoy says, “Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself.”
What do you believe about change? Do you believe you can change the world without first changing yourself? Do you believe that changing is hard? Ultimately, these are often hidden conditioned beliefs that cause people to resist evolving; fearful of change, you stop learning and growing, and your heart closes. When the heart closes, you are incapable of being a change agent. Fear of changing is a pervasively held unconscious belief for many; fear is imprinted on the collective consciousness of humanity. Not dealing with our internal depths, you react out of fear—instead of out of love. How each of us plays out our role by choosing either fear or love will affect the end of the play. We all are actors in this great unfolding global drama brought about by the Wuhan virus, and it is not a dress rehearsal.
It is an awakening when we see that changing ourselves makes it possible to change the world.
Unfortunately, you are hearing a great deal about the fear and anxiety in the world. Yes, freedom and the survival of the world is at stake. We are coping with intense amounts of chaos and fear, individually and collectively. The collective consciousness is overwhelmingly negative. However, the gift humanity is given because of these global events is to develop a more mature awareness—one rooted in love. We are all being challenged, in one way or another, to be reborn (recreate lives). We must admit what is broken, let it go, and devise creative ways to transmute and transform what has never served humanity.
Socrates told us, ”The secret of change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old, but on building the new."
This makes perfect sense to me! Change requires making new decisions. Making a new decision is only the beginning of things. When someone decides, she’s diving into a strong current that will carry her to places she had never dreamt about when she first decided—this is a rebirthing. All of the masters teach us about this rebirthing.
Change occurs constantly in life.
Being in nature reminds us that eternal change is the only permanent in life. So, what should a person do if they are afraid of change? Or if they believe that change is too hard? Lao Tzu says, “Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes. Don't resist them; that only creates sorrow. Let reality be reality. Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like.”
First, you must see your fear of change. You can’t change the fear; you must dive into it and let it consume you. When the fear has consumed you, a gift is given to you: freedom. If you are truly ready to create a new world where all people live in freedom and liberty, cherishing the Earth, you must be willing to be a change agent. “Seeing” is the solution; besides that, you can’t change anything anyway (the paradox); change is spontaneous when you see or understand. This is so on both the personal and global levels: as you become more aware, the world becomes awakened.
The depth of the darkness confronting our world will reveal the magic of who we are.
When we face the darkness head-on—in ourselves and the world—we begin to see the light. And that is the alchemy of personal transformation. Only on the darkest night, when we are humbled by the limits of what we can do, does it begin to dawn on us, the limitlessness of what God can do: Love is the creative force of the world.
