The Authentic Self: True Success for Spiritual Leaders

Our purpose in life is to think as God thinks—what is often called, wisdom. Why? Because our happiness is experienced in wisdom. Because in wisdom we are aligned with who we truly are.
God loves all of us as one. He doesn’t love anyone more than anyone else. No one in God’s eyes is special. In terms of your power, in terms of your talent, all of us are special and none of us is special. Usually, the word ‘special’ means something really good, but it is actually treachery of the ego for spiritual leaders.
The Alchemy of Transformation
Alchemy is about integration. You must look inside to heal the inner conflict—the duality. You do this by strengthening the opposites; where the two become one. If you strengthen the bridge between the two; alchemy happens, you become integrated. The alchemist is the bridge between the worlds. You must bring all of you into your body; you must embody opposites. This is the reason opposites are attracted to each other; so they can reflect to the other what needs to be experienced—integrated.
When you drop the “what-if” activity of your mind by opening your heart, you allow your true self to expand. You must let it go of the past with detachment and say, “Yes,” to the process.
Embodying Beauty: You
No object is so beautiful that, under certain conditions, it cannot be ugly. Because there is so much ugliness in the world, and knowing that beauty and truth are two of life’s great champions, I feel compelled to write about beauty. All we have to do is look for beauty, it is everywhere, awakening the soul to act—to love. Many people forget the important role the soul plays in happiness; beauty illuminates the soul—love.
