It is love that will usher

Community Outreach

Community Outreach and Programs

A wonderful aspect about service is the capacity of sharing it and growing in love and compassion. If you'd like to develop these skills, want to meet like-minded people, then become involved in community outreach and educational activities. You may schedule a session, seminar or community outreach event.

The Taproot Healing Institute strives to support communities as they deal with the complex issues that surround them. Working side-by-side with community members, we are committed to partnerships that restore wholeness, and promote deep love and compassion based on respecting the dignity of all living creatures.

As part of its mission, the Taproot Healing Institute is implementing a Service Outreach Program. The service is voluntary and the partnership program provides alternative spiritual support and training for those in various communities (Hospitals, Hospice Centers, Homeless Shelters, Women's Shelters, Recovery Programs, Nursing Homes, Prisons, Alternative Education Institutions, etc.). Clear focus is on community programs that address the needs of poverty such as homelessness, and clean water and shelter.

Community outreach programs such as this are one of the most crucial and beneficial activities in the world. For this reason, participants play and extremely important role in providing services to their communities. So what is Community Outreach?

At the Taproot Healing Institute, we strive to help individuals, families and communities as they deal with the complex issues that surround them. As we work side-by-side with community members, we are committed to partnerships that restore wholeness, and promote deep love and compassion based on respecting the dignity of all living creatures.

As part of its mission, Taproot is implementing a Service Outreach Program. The service is a voluntary and partnership program that provides alternative support and training for those in various communities (Hospitals, Hospice Centers, Homeless Shelters, Women's Shelters, Assisted Living Facilities, Recovery Programs, Nursing Homes, Prisons, Alternative Education Institutions, etc.) that could not otherwise afford or access these services.

We consider outreach programs such as this to be one of our most crucial and beneficial activities. For this reason, volunteers play and extremely important role in providing these services to their communities. If you, would like to find out about becoming a holistic community outreach volunteer leader contact us.

So what is a Community Share anyway?

Community sharing is a gathering of people who join for a combination of social and healing learning and growing experiences; a wide range of topics can be offered such as spiritual contemplations, meditation, living with anger, living a fearless life, embracing change, freedom from addictions (not just drug and alcohol), forgiveness, living without judgment or whatever is needed by the host community. It can last anywhere from 2-4 hours or be an all day, weekend, or week long events. It depends on who is hosting the event and how many people attend.

The concept of a "share" is for professionals to participate in giving and receiving based on the expertise they offer in a professional atmosphere of friendship and love; it is the stated assumption that everyone is equal. Participating in a share is a beneficial way of honoring one another as healers and change agents for love and compassion on Earth. It is a marvelous and often profound experience where people learn to forgive and love themselves and at the same time learn to forgive and love those who have hurt them. It is always an opportunity to grow in spiritual depth.
